Turned 22 on his debut against the New Zealand Divisional XV and scored the opening try after just seven minutes. He also scored early in the second half of the return match in Lautoka after some swift work from Dale Tonawai.
On his provincial debut at age 20, he scored a crucial try for Tailevu against Lautoka to help them snatch the Farebrother-Sullivan Trophy for the first time in the 60-year history of the competition.
Ratuvou showed impressive form in the 2004 BP Oil Series and was selected for the Fiji Development 7s team to Chile and Argentina where they won both tournaments, with Ratuvou finishing as top try scorer.
After the Colonial Cup, he was drafted into the national 15s squad following the withdrawal of Marika Vunibaka.
Won a starting place in 2006 and signed for Saracens alongside skipper Simon Raiwalui.
